It is difficult to find a reason not to attend Emerging Artists Series opening receptions at the Roanoke Main Library. Once a month, the library transforms into a vibrant social hotspot. They have it all; live music from a local artist, varying types of visual art and a once in a lifetime opportunity to eat, drink, and make noise at the library without the fear of a reprimand from the librarian.

As a member of the monthly Art By Night event, the Roanoke Main Library and the Emerging Artists Series introduces artists and musicians to the community. The library like most of the other participating venues have an opening reception, demonstrations,  or live music the first Thursday of every month.

Anyone looking for a night of art and entertainment should mark this date on their calendar. If you miss it, the visual art remains on display throughout the month. Exhibits are free to the public.
